JOSEPH A. NELSON, JR., Age 57 of Chardon, died peacefully at his home April 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 10, 1960 to Joseph and Linda (nee: Timinski) Nelson, Sr., he was a lifelong Chardon resident. Joe a member of Geauga Aerie Eagles #2261, he was an avid fan of muscle cars, he loved to camp, golf and being outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Adriana. Joe was a self-employed finish carpenter and was a dedicated craftsman.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years Janet (nee: Williams), children Amanda (Gary) Swope of Munson Twp. and Joseph A. Nelson, III of Chardon, his mother of Tucson, AZ and siblings Victoria (Tim) Dailey of Chardon, Stephanie Nelson of Tucson, AZ and Jennifer (Michael) Hannan of Oakland, CA
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday April 9, 2018, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Although gone too soon Joe always lived life to the fullest and made everyone around him feel like family. Knowing Joe my whole life I never remember a time he wasn’t smiling or helping someone which made him so special.
