John Clayton O’Mar, age 68, a long-time resident of Burton, OH passed away at UH Cleveland Medical Center on March 4, 2021.  Born October 19, 1952 to Charles Everett and Eunice Merle (nee: Russell) O’Mar in New Brunswick, Canada. He was well known around the community for his outgoing personality and smile. He worked at Metzenbaum Sheltered Industries for many years and took pride in his work. Within recent years, John resided in Newbury, OH. 

John attended Cornerstone Bible Church in Middlefield for many years. He was an avid sports fan. The Cleveland Indians and the Browns were his favorite teams. In his free time, John loved listening to music, fishing, and sports. John loved to travel. Some of his favorite places to go were Lake County Captains, Cuyahoga County Science Rail Roads, and the Spillway to see the fish. John was a kind and affectionate person who loved to talk to anyone who would listen! He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. Interment will follow at Welton Cemetery in Burton, Ohio.
