JOAN A. YOKULES

Age 84, died peacefully in her home on Friday, February 17, 2023. She was born on September 14, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Peter J. Scott and Vera M. Scott (nee: Basco). She graduated from East High School in Cleveland in 1956, and then from St. Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent Charity Hospital and Geauga Community Hospital, where she retired after 40 years of nursing. Joan married Anthony “Tim” Yokules on December 29, 1960, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Euclid, Ohio, with Nuptial Blessing in Ft. Benning, Georgia. When she retired from nursing, she spent time with her husband at antique shows and vacationing in the Outer Banks with her family. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Joan was an active parishioner of St. Helen Church in Newbury.

Memories of Joan will be carried on by her loving family: her two daughters Sue Yokules, of Newbury, and Barb Bradley of Batavia; and son: Tim (Cindy) of Burton; Grandmother to Erin (Donald) Wolf, Emma Yokules, Alex Yokules, Jake Bradley, and Zach Yokules; and Great-Grandmother to Carter and Sadie Wolf; brother Tom Scott, (Jackie); and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Helen Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065.
