My heart aches for Jan, Walt, Jeff, Jim, Jerry, your families, and Jay's son in the tremendous loss of your son/brother/father. It has been so many years since I have seen any of you, but given that most of you, and especially Jay, were once a very important part of my life, I pray for eternal peace for him and comfort and understanding for all of you. A friend told me yesterday that he saw the news in the paper, which led me to want to reach out to you at this extremely difficult time. Blessings to each of you and Jay's son. Laura

Jay and I spent a lot of time together at his best friends and my brothers funeral just over 3 years ago. While growing up I remember Jay, Scott S and Jim A at my parents house always being his joyful, playful and ornery self. He was always like one of the family for as long as I can remember. Why do the good die young? You will be missed Jay.Red

My thoughts and prayers to the Davis family. I met Jay 30 years ago at OSU through his cousin Sharon. Jay was quite the story teller and always had everyone laughing hysterically. He was a great host when I visited Chardon and certainly made me feel like family. His big personality and big laugh could fill a room. Rest in peace Jay.

Ive know Jay for over 10yrs now. Over the past few yours we accumulated so many lasting memories from our longhorn lunch trips to our memorable Christmas shopping trips there was never a dull moment, especially when he got to telling stories my stomach and cheeks would hurt from laughing so hard! Ashley and I are expecting our first baby and it breaks my heart she will never be able to meet him, he was so excited for us never forgetting to ask about the baby every time he called me. Jay was a person I looked at for advice in a variety of situations and a person that was always willing to lend a hand no matter the situation. He truly was a once in a lifetime friend. My sympathy goes to the family and his wonderful son Jesse as I would call mini Jay. Jay I will always be here for Jesse as you were for me. God damn im going to miss you buddy Rest In Peace

Jay is my cousin-son of the most wonderful aunt and uncle anyone could ask for . He was the most fun-loving person-always full of life, giving big hugs and sharing great stories. My heart feels so heavy for his wonderful family- a beautiful son that will miss his dad so much, his wonderful parents, and the 3 brothers he loved so much, their wives and his nephews and niece. My sisters and I remember Jay when he was a little kid-even back then he was always fun and usually getting into trouble ! My mom (his aunt) would always call him Jay Todd. I can still see him in my mind’s eye as a little boy running around and rough housing with his brothers. He had a bigger than life personality and I guess God decided he belonged in heaven right now. We will miss you Jay, but you won’t be forgotten. Say hi to all those that went before you-- Grandma, Aunt Marty, Aunt Dee—(don’t get into a fight with Uncle Bob! ) and tell everyone we will all be there too someday. We will miss you, Your cousin, Linda

Jay,I only met you 3 times when you came out to visit A.J. Ronyak. I have 2 things to share. The first is your god damn laugh!!! Your laugh was one I will never forget, it was loud, boisterous and infectious. The second memory of you was your story telling. You had some great life stories to share and ALWAYS had me doubled over laughing. Your voice " hey Bleecker, hey Bleecker" will ring through my head forever. May you rest in piece Jay. May the good Lord take you in his arms and take care of you. And for your sake I hope you can hunt in heaven. You may be gone today but won't be forgotten tomorrow. Jeff Bleecker
