Joyce Maphis and family left a message on April 30, 2013:
I have known Janet since I began to associate with the congregation many years ago, and I do not recall ever hearing her say a negative word to or about anyone. She was always loving and kind and set a sterling Christian example for us. I am absolutely positive that she is precious in Jehovah's sight and that he eagerly awaits the day when he can apply the following scripture to her: "You will call, and I myself shall answer you. For the work of your hands you will have a yearning."—Job 14:15. In the meantime, he can—and wants—to provide the comfort and help your family will need in the difficult days ahead. How true Jehovah's words are at Isaiah 41:10: “I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness.” You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To Our Dear Friends,It's been so long, and this is indeed, a sad time, though full of hope. We fondly remember all the fine assistance your family was as we started our own. Be assured, as you are already well aware, Jehovah is faithful, she will not be forgotten. We love you all so, and you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. What a wonderful spiritual heritage your family has both received and passed on together. What wonderful memories you'll have to recount, when your together again. We love ya'll,Bill & Holly Evis

Dear Sam, Jonathan, Kathryn, Wendy, Zach, Patty, Mike, and all of Janet's family whom she cherished so much,We are so sorry that you have lost Janet for now, but it is a comfort to know that you will be together again. It has been a great privilege for us to have known Janet for so many years and to have been able to benefit from her friendship. We will treasure the many memories we have of happy times we were able to spend in her company. Janet did so much for others, always putting everyone ahead of herself and never expecting anything in return. She set such a good example for us all without even thinking of taking credit for it.We loved Janet dearly and will miss her very much.

Sam and family,Janet is an inspiration to many who suffer with rehabilitating diseases. I admire her for all she has done for you and your children. She loved you all so very much. She was pretty, loving, kind and sincere. She will be so missed by all in your congregation but also people like me who would see her time to time at assemblies. Please be assured she is asleep, at peace, and really there is no time when we sleep, so she is already there in the paradise waiting for you to see her.Again, our deepest sincere condolences. Our prayers are with you.The Marketich familyBeaver Falls, Pa Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses
