James Glenn Williams, Jr., age 64 of Chardon, OH died October 7, 2012 at Geauga Medical Center, Claridon Twp., OH. Born June 9, 1948, in Cleveland, OH to James G. and Frances (Nee: Dulski) Williams Sr, Jim lived in Geauga County most of his life except for a short time in Johnstown, PA. He worked as an IT technician, retiring from Xerox-Canon, Johnstown, PA. Jim was a Veteran of US Air Force serving for 8 years during Vietnam as Crew Chief on C-130 transports and was a proud member of the Apollo Recovery Project with NASA. Jim was a graduate of Thompson High School, Class of 1966 and the Commonwealth Technical Institute, Johnstown, PA, in 2000. Jim enjoyed coin collecting and was a member of the Johnstown Coin Club. He is survived by 2 daughters Tricia (Nick DiDomenico) Williams of Painesville, OH and Kortni (Benjamin Helms) Williams of Vidalia, GA; 2 grandchildren Jimmy and Addison DiDomenico; 2 sisters Valerie (Larry) Nellis of Montville Twp. and Jane (Mark Chambers) Rice of Chester Twp., OH; 2 brothers William (Cathy Fracassi) Williams of Willoughby & Robert (Terri) Williams of Thompson, OH; nieces and nephews Jamie Nellis, Michelle Jokinen, William Williams II, Stormy Wozniak, Glenn and Krystal Rice, Robert and Kenny Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 8pm on Wednesday Oct. 10, 2012 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon, OH with his brother Bill Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Private family burial to take place.
