James “Jim” Franklin Davisson, II, age 67, passed away March 29, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home in Munson Twp. He was born
July 11, 1953, in Grafton, WV to James and Betty Lou (nee: Myers), later moving to the Chardon area. He attended Chardon High (Class of 1971) where he met the love of his life, Kathy (nee: Krupa). They married June 29, 1973. Jim enjoyed spending time at their family cabin in Tionesta, PA, was an avid Browns fan and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Church in Chardon. He was a member of the Mustang Club and took great pride in his 1965 Mustang GT convertible, winning numerous awards over the years at car shows. However, his greatest pride and joy was his family. Jim retired as Vice President from the General Systems Consulting Group, specializing in the Automotive Industry, after 25 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Todd of Mentor and Keith of Willowick; former daughter-in-law, Dalene Lewis; grandchildren, Courtney (Billy) Barber, Alex and Kyle; twin sister, Joyce (Michael) Balish and sister, Jeri (Ivan) Janowsky both of FL. He was preceded by his parents.
Visitation will be Monday, April 5, 2021, from 5 – 7 pm at Burr Funeral Home, 116 Chardon, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 10 am at St. Mary Church, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp., OH.
