JAMES F. NOVOTNY, SR., age 94, of Munson Twp., died November 15, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 30,1927 in Cleveland to James and Mary (nee: Minar) Novotny, he was a lifelong area resident. He was an active member of the Taborville DTJ Czech Organization, he was a member of VFW #6519, Chardon and was an avid wood worker, having built several houses. Jim attended East Tech High School and proudly served in the US Army towards the end of WWII. He was the Owner Operator of Novotny Inc., a construction company for more than 60 years.
He is survived by his children, Katherine Briggs, James F. (Deborah) Novotny, Jr., and Paula (Bruce) Siller, all of Munson Twp. Jim also leaves his grandchildren Sarah (Frank) Horbay, Kelsey (Joel) Algeri, Krissy Novotny, Kimberly (Dave) Fleming, Karen (Sean) Fogle, Brian (Shannon) Siller, Julie (Jason) Brand, Jason (Lori) Briggs and his 12 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Eleanor, his parents, and his sister Helen Macek.
