Irene Tucker Lawton, age 86 of Chardon, OH, peacefully passed away at her home on August 30, 2021.
Irene was born on April 22, 1935 in North Pharsalia, NY to the late Fremont and Olive (nee: Huntley) Tucker. She married Gerald “Jerry” Lawton on September 20, 1958 in Norwich, N.Y. The couple resided in Chardon, OH for forty-three years.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald, and three children; Melody (Scott) Judd Bell of Andover, OH; Suzanne Mader of North East, PA, and Jerry (Ruthann) Lawton of Norwich, NY. She has six grandchildren: Amy Callahan, Keri (Brian) Morris, John Mader, Kelly (Alex) Kimball, Rebecca (Dustin) Lewandowski, and Brennen Lawton. There are five great grandsons: Kobe and Kaiden Callahan, Karson Aldridge, and twins, Caleb and Blake Lewandowski.
Irene is also survived by three sister-in-laws: Anne Tucker, Sharon Amato, and Marlane Gould, and one brother-in-law, Richard Lawton, nieces and nephews, Marc (Wendy) Tucker, Lisa (Keith) Day, and Linda Tucker, along with their children: Megan, Cheyanne, and Corrine Tucker; Ethan, Matthew, and Luke Day; and Stephen Turner.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Tucker, sister-in-law, Linda Lawton, and two son-in-laws, William Judd and John Mader.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich, NY at a later date.
