HELEN BARTO (nee: LUBINSKI)

Age 68, of Montville Twp., died May 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born July 14, 1949 in Cleveland, to Edmund and Harriet (nee: Lubinski) Lubinski, she was a resident of Maple Hts. before moving to Montville in 1972. Helen’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and she enjoyed car cruising in their Corvettes. She was the title clerk for Preston Chevrolet in Burton for 16 years, before her retirement in 2015.

Survivors include her husband, John Steven Barto, whom she married May 3, 1969, her children John Carey (Melissa) of Lancaster, PA and Christopher (Sarah) of Concord Twp., grandchildren Morgan, Kyler, Reese, Lillian and Mason, her sisters Shirley (Phil) Hershberger of Wentzville, MO, Carol (Mike) Zolkowski of Port Clinton, brothers Edmund Lubinski of Mantua and Ronald (Kathy) Lubinski of Peoria, AZ. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister-in-law Andrea.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM with eulogy shared at 8:00 PM, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:30 at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon. The family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org/.

I have fond memories of John and Helen when you worked here at Notre Dame. A great couple. I'm so sorry for your loss, John, and to you, too, "young " John and Chris. I'm praying not only FOR Helen, but TO her--for you!

Our sympathies to John, John Jr, Chris, and families. We cherish the many memories of Helen and fun times we enjoyed on our various Corvette cruises.

Uncle Johnny and family- Aunt Helen was such a caring Aunt to all of us and we loved her so much! You are all in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time! Wish we could be there to say goodbye to her but we will be there in thoughts! Love Nikki, James and girls

John and Family, When I hired Helen to work at Preston, she was so excited and enthusiastic about the job. Helen was a great worker, as well as a very organized person. She, also, was a great friend. Helen was always a team player, and certainly, helped to make my job easier. She was well liked and respected by everyone who met her. She was very devoted to her family, and will be surely missed by all her family and friends.

John so sorry for your loss, she was a caring women.She well be with you always. May she rest in peace.
