Frank J. Stanek, age 75 of Huntsburg Twp., OH died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Geauga Regional Hospital in Claridon Twp., OH. Born in Cleveland, OH on May 13, 1937 to James and Valeria (Nee: Bogdanski) Stanek, he has been a Huntsburg Township resident since the age of 4. Frank was the owner and operator of Cloverleaf Auto Body in Huntsburg Twp., OH. He started his business at the age of 19. The business was on a dirt road, and many folks did not think the business would survive but retired after 50 years in 2006. Frank J. Stanek married Janice Grosvenor on April 20, 1957, in Claridon Twp., OH. He was a graduate of Burton High School, Class of 1955. Frank enjoyed gardening, collecting guns, displaying airplane models, and reading airplane, sports and car magazines. He devised many inventions to make things easier and safer with tools and machinery. His ideas were often patented later, by other individuals. Frank also enjoyed meeting and talking with people. He had a bright mind and strong views on the world. Frank is survived by his wife Janice Stanek of Huntsburg Twp., OH; daughters Sherry Stanek of Huntsburg Twp., OH and Donna Stanek of Orlando, FL; son Clay (Terry) Stanek of Reston, VA; sister in law Teeter Grosvenor of Claridon Twp., OH; brother in law Ralph (Janet) Grosvenor of Hendersonville, NC; many cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, July 13, 7:30 PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (St. Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. A gathering will be held prior to the service on Friday, July 13, 5-7:30 PM.
