Francis A. Dill

Francis A. Dill, age 86, of Hambden Twp., OH, passed away on June 17, 2022, at his home.  Born January 29, 1936, to Joseph and Mary (nee: Margo) Dill in Cambria County, PA.  He married Margaret “Peggy” Krupa on August 30, 1958, in Maryland. Making Chardon their home in 1967 where they raised their family.  Margaret preceded him in death on August 7, 2009.

He was a retired machinist at Fusion Inc. A member of the FOE of Chardon and a member of St. Mary Church in Chardon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, winemaking, cooking, and gardening.  Most of all he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and was blessed to have spent time with his great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Francis Michael Dill of Hambden Twp., OH, Lisa D. (Mark) Cipolla of Thompson Twp. OH, and Peggy Ann (Chuck) Yako of Hambden Twp., OH, daughter in law, Michelle Dill of Hambden Twp., OH; Grandchildren, Toni (Greg), Jeffrey (Megan), Rachael (Michael), Michelle, Megan, Mitchell, Maddy and Jason; Great Grandchildren, Connor, Abby, Luke, Carter, Jack, and Cole; brother, John Dill of Jacksonville, FL.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret, son, Joseph John (Jay) Dill and brother, Joseph Dill.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Room at St. Mary Church, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH 44024. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church. The interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
