Age 61 of Munson Twp., died February 3, 2017 at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born August 11, 1955 in Huntington, WV to Billy Jack and Bonnie Jean (nee: Hairston) Cummings, he was a lifelong area resident. Fletcher holds 4 World Championships and multiple National Archery Titles. He was an avid big game hunter, enjoyed camping, 4 wheeling, motorcycling, fishing and was an all-around outdoorsman. He enjoyed traveling but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Fletcher was the Maintenance Manager for Troy Manufacturing for more than 25 years and was passionate about his work. He was considered one of the “Troy Boys”. Fletcher never turned down a good time. Survivors include his wife June (nee: Steerman) Cummings, children Bobby (Holly) Cummings of Mentor and Christy (Kyle) Nichols of Mentor, step children Christy (Nick) Dalpiaz of Montville, Danny (Betsey) Reed of Newton Falls and Nick (Nichole) Reed of Middlefield, grandchildren Billy Cummings, Ciera Kolar, Brandon and Brad Pesicek and Logan and Cole Reed. He also leaves his sister, Linda (Joe) Purcell of FL, In Laws, Clint and Gladys Steerman, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, followed by a funeral service at 7:00. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
