Fayetta “Faye” June Griffin (nee: Gibson), age 91, peacefully passed away on May 13, 2023. Born February 8, 1932, to Homer and Harriet (nee: Seckman) Gibson in Clarksburg, W.V.  Fayetta married Robert Lee Griffin on April 15, 1951 in West Virginia.

Faye loved to talk and never knew a stranger.  She really enjoyed hanging out with her friends and enjoyed playing but especially loved winning at BINGO. She loved animals most of all her cat Baby. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Ray (Lynn) Griffin of Greeneville, TN, Randy Griffin of Thompson, OH, Jerry (Betsy) Griffin of Chardon, OH, Sheila King of Mentor, OH, Tina Griffin of Mentor, OH, Jay (Gail) Griffin of Mentor, OH and Wendy Griffin of Middlefield, OH. She will be missed by many grandchildren,  great and great great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Lee Griffin, son, Tom Griffin; daughter-in-law, Helen Griffin; son in law, Ernie King.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH 44024.  The Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Chardon Municipal Cemetery in Chardon, OH.
