Elma “Toni” Lessick (nee: Fuehring)
Age 95 of Chesterland, died peacefully Monday, March 26, 2018. Born September 2, 1922 and raised in Max, Nebraska. After joining the US Cadet Nurse Corp after WWII broke out, she entered nurses training. She met the love of her life, Walter Lessick, and they married in 1944 and moved across the country to the city of Cleveland. She was a devoted wife and mother to her two daughters. Toni was the Office Manager/Bookkeeper for Bloom Brothers for more than 30 years. She was active in Girl Scouts, Geauga County Humane Society, Geauga County Garden Club, Geauga Walkers Club and Show Biz Kids.
Survivors include her daughters Carolyn (Michael) Niece of Lakewood and Patricia Morse of Thompson, grandchildren Patricia (Chuck) Renaud, Hugh (Angela) Brennan, Corrie (Sarah) Wilder, Emily (Stephen) Pannone and Robert (Christine) Morse, great grandchildren Maureen, Erin, Katie, Jack, Lexi, Megan, Sean, Rosalie and Fern and her sister, Elaine Frasier of Max, NE. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Frances (nee: Foster) Fuehring, her husband and brother, Edward.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 29 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (500’ south of St. Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. Funeral Service Friday, March 30 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by burial at Maple Hill Cemetery, Munson Twp.
