Ellen Erdman, age 89 of Concord Twp., OH, died May 12, 2012 at Lake Med-Kindred Healthcare in Painesville, OH. Born May 3, 1923 in Cleveland, OH to Sven and Gunhild (Nee: Christy) Carlson, Ellen has lived in Concord Twp. for 16 years spending over 32 years in Claridon Twp., OH prior. Mrs. Erdman worked as Clerk at the Title Bureau of the Geauga County Clerk of Courts for over 15 years. Ellen Christy married Waldemar “Wally” Erdman in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 30, 1943. He preceded in death on March 25, 2006. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Munson Twp., OH and enjoyed cross-stitching, cooking, and word puzzles. Ellen is survived by sons Ronald W. Erdman of Lakewood, OH and Dennis A. (Teresa) Erdman of Harrisburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Waldemar Erdman.

Dear Ron and Dennis,I remember with great fondness the big bright smile that always greeted me whenever I saw your Mom. She always had a gracious "Hello" for me whether in the grocery store in church or at a Free Harmony event she attended.I hope that the warmth of her smile will give many fond memories as you morn her passing.I am sorry that it took me so long to contact you and I hope you are both doing well these days. Ronnie and Dennis,I am so sorry for your loss. Many of my childhood memories include both of your parents and your grandmother as well. My brother Dan and I used to take turns bringing your gramma her mail when we got home from school. Both my brothers and I would pick dandelions so your dad could make wine with them. Your mom used to perm my hair. We used to love to play with Teddy and Fritzy too. Your mom sewed my 8th grade home economics project for me cuz I had NO talent for that at all!! I also interviewed your mom for a school project once. They both treated me and my brothers with such patience and love. When my son was born, I made a point of bringing him to meet your parents - they were living in the apts then, waiting for their condo.
