Duane “Mike” Mitchell Mabe, Age 70, passed away on December 16, 2022, at his home. Mike was born on November 9, 1952, to Malcolm and Dorothy (nee: O’Dean Coake) Mabe. Mike moved to the Cleveland area in the 1960s from Virginia where he was born. He served in the United States Air Force in the 1970s. He worked for the Chardon school system first as a bus driver then became a school janitor until he retired. Mike enjoyed building and flying model aircraft. He was also a dog lover and enjoyed the Husky breed.

He is survived by his partner; Jackie Grosvent, Children; Tom Mabe, David Martell, Stacey Hoshour, Jennifer Martell, and Chris Mabe; Siblings; Darroll and Shyrell Mabe.

Mike is preceded by his loving wife Mary Lee (nee: Winslow) and brother Donnie Mabe.

The family invites friends to join to celebrate Mike’s life on January 3, 2023, at 10 A.M. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St, Chardon, OH. Service will begin at 11 A.M. with burial following at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, OH.
