DENNIS J. LYNCH, JR., Age 80 of Munson Twp. and Frostproof, FL, died January 17, 2018 in Winter Haven, FL. Born June 22, 1937 in Cleveland to Dennis J. and Jane (nee: Veach-Sweeney) Lynch, Sr. Mr. Lynch was an Accountant for the former TRW, he was a Salesperson for Snap on Tools and most recently worked for Kenco Electric and IM Ladder Company. He was an active member of The Church of St. Mary, serving with the Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic Minister for the Residence of Chardon, Pro Life and Bereavement Ministry, Marriage Encounter and Families in Christ, weekly prayer group. He loved traveling to every state in the Union, camping, reading, swimming, square dancing, hiking with their dog, bicycling, wood carving, puppetry and the Passion Play of Tetelestai. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruth Ann (nee: Kerkel) Lynch of Munson Twp, their sons, Kenneth (Diane) Lynch of Munson Twp. and Joseph Lynch of Baltimore, MD and grandchildren April (John) Haladyna, Kelly Lynch, Hunter Newman and Aidan Lynch. He also leaves his brothers Vincent (Carole), David (Marina), Timothy (Judi) and Mark (Patricia) Lynch and sister-in-law, Phyllis Lynch. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Terrence Lynch.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 27 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Munson Twp. Burr Funeral Home, Chardon is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers,the family suggests donations to St. Mary’s Pro Life Ministry, 401 North St., Chardon, 44024 or the Salvation Army, 69 Pearl St., Painesville, 44077.
