Delilah M. (Hatfield) Bottger, 87, of Newbury Township, a homemaker, died April 18, 2010, at her residence.Born Oct. 25, 1922, in Akron, she had been a lifelong area resident.Delilah Hatfield married Eugene Wojnowski in Amarillo, Texas in 1943. He preceded her in death March 31, 1945. She then married Arnold Bottger Nov. 27, 1946, in Chardon. He preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2006.Mrs. Bottger was a member of Clover Chapter of Eastern Star since 1969, serving as Worthy Matron in 1975 and 1977, Grand Representative to Colorado in 1987, Deputy Grand Matron in 1995, and District President in 1985. She served 27 years as chapter secretary and was an honorary member of the Lake/Geauga Scottish Rite.Survivors are her daughter, Susan (Martin) Mullet of Newbury Township; sons, Michael (Nancy) Wojnowski of Medina, Texas and David (Gwen) Bottger of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren, Lenard Wojnowski of Longmont, Colo., James (Nerissa) Wojnowski of San Diego, Calif., Jeffrey (Janine) Bottger of Columbus, Amanda (Justin) Martindale of Austin, Texas, Sarah Mullet of Willoughby, and Andrew Mullet, stationed in Weisbaden, Germany; great-grandchildren, James, Ellise and Abagail Wojnowski of San Diego, Calif. and Haley Bottger of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clara (Ley) Hatfield; first husband, Eugene Wojnowski; second husband, Arnold Bottger; and three brothers, David, Ray and Mavin Hatfield.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Newbury United Community Church, 14916 Auburn Road, Newbury, OH 44065. The Rev. Patricia Hough of the church will officiate the service.Burial will be in Newbury Center Cemetery.
