I’ll always remember Uncle Dave’s smile and mischievous demeanor. I have so many fond memories - Kelly’s Island, his visits while I was in college, his merry making during my wedding. Love you Uncle! I know you and Grandma are in Heaven smiling down on all of us.

I am sadden by the news of Dave’s passing. I always enjoyed seeing Dave after the Chardon United Methodist services. He always asked how I was doing. He sponsored me to be a member of Rotary and encouraged me to find a satisfying job and career. The best memory is when he asked me and a few others to go sailing after church. It was my first sailing experience on Lake Erie. I had so much fun but realized I should not “operate” a sail boat. Beautiful fellowship on Lake Erie! Rest in peace, Dave.

Our hearts are saddened. Dave holds a special place in our hearts because of the kind gesture he did prior to our wedding in the church courtyard as it was being finished. Dave always greeted you with a smile on his face and kindness. He will be missed.
