DAVID ALLAN WHITRIGHT, Age 78, of Chardon OH, Passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born September 2, 1943 to Allen and Patricia (nee: Starr) Whitright. David has been a resident of Chardon for all his life. He took over the family business, Whitright’s Auto Wrecking in 1991.

He is survived by his children, Rodney (Syna) Whitright, Paul Whitright, Tami (Tom) Erasmus, Jennifer (Frank) DiNardo; Grandchildren, Mickey, Sophia Whitright, David and Aaron Erasmus, Cody “Cock-a-rochee” and Dominic DiNardo; Sister, Katherine (John) Love.

He is preceded by his parents Allan and Patricia.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St, Chardon, 4:00-6:00 P.M. for visitation. Burial will take place on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at Chardon Municipal Cemetery at 10 A.M.

I am so sorry to hear this. I met Dave in 1973 while working at the Mayfield Road driving. We remained friends despite our age difference all our lives. How we laughed!! If I needed help Dave was always there, laughing most of the time. I’ll remember you always Dave, we sure had a lifetime of laughs.

Im so saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. He was a great buddy of my Dad, OT West even though Dave was years younger. I remember Dave coming to our house in Hamden and he was always fun with a sense of humor and a great laugh. I’m so happy to see Dave had children and grandchildren as he was just a kid, 11 years older than I when I knew him. Probably late teens or early 20’s. May he rest in peace

I met Dave through my daughter. He was always willing to help me out of a jam with my car or lawn mower. He had the ability to make me laugh with the conical way he looked at situations. My condolences to his family for their loss. Dave, you will be missed.

Dave you will be deeply missed. Family life time friend to our family. My sincerest condolences to the family and us all who knew This wonderful kind hearted Man. RIP Dave.
