Darrell J. Wiberg

Age 57, of Hambden Township, died unexpectedly on December 14, 2019. Born February 24, 1962 in Lakewood, to Paul G. and Doris (nee: Laing) Wiberg. He was a lifelong Chardon resident. Darrell was a Machinist for Chardon Metal Products and was an avid fisherman on his boat “Dr. Hook,” enjoying his summers at Mentor Lagoons. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Bonnie (nee: Kennedy) Wiberg of Hambden Township, step children Tina Lane of Kirtland, Edwin Avalos of Willoughby, Andres L. (Michelle) Avalos of Madison; grandchildren Ashley Lane, Audrey and Ayrin Spring, Eddie, Emily, Joe, Aydan and Anna Avalos, Mitchell Brooks and Alexis Gonzalez; sister Lynn Lewis. He also leaves his nephews Josh, Scott and David Wiberg and nieces Angie Wiberg, many great nieces and nephews, his father in law, Edwin Kennedy and his little dog, “Buddy”. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dale and David Wiberg and his mother in law, Helen Kennedy.

The family will be hosting a Memorial Gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Bonnie Wiberg, 12012 Nicki Lane, Chardon, 44024.
