Daniel “Dan” R. Thompson, age 59 of Thompson Twp., died very unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2019. Born November 27, 1959 in Euclid, to Chauncey “Bud” and Judith (nee: Estvander) Thompson, he has been a lifelong Geauga County resident. Dan was a devout family man who loved to hunt and fish. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a member of Local #860 for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sheila (nee: Harper), children Dan (Kathy) Thompson of Novelty, Nicole (Eric) Yu of Chicago, IL, Megan and Moriah Thompson; grandchildren Hunter, Kyle, Peyton and Miles; his parents; his brothers Gregg (Jill) Thompson of Thompson, Scott (Kate) Thompson of Macedonia, Tracy (Doug) Russell of FL and Brad (Joy) Thompson of Chesterland.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
