Daniel Baskin, age 76, a long-time Geauga County resident, passed away November 4, 2020 at UH Cleveland Medical Center surrounded by family and life-long friends. He was born September 30, 1944 to Onofre and Myrtle (nee: Wilms) Baskin in Warren, Ohio. He was a graduate of Newbury High School and Kent State University.
Daniel proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed owning and showing Hot Rod Cars, attending car shows, swap meets and playing golf. He was a successful business owner as a Case Manager for workmen comp claims.
He is survived by his brother, Richard (Gay) Baskin; stepchildren, Rick Kusar, Betsy Johnson and Danny Kusar; aunt, Eleanor Pura; cousins, Joe Toth, Beverly Palinsky and Judy Brilla; life-long friend, Barry Peterson and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on June 19, 2021 at Claridon Center Cemetery, State Route 322 (near the Town Hall), Claridon Township, Ohio.
