Dan W. Muchmore, Age 71, of Chardon, OH, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born in Chardon on June 8, 1947, to Donald C. and Doris A. (nee: Burdick) Muchmore. He was a 1965 Chardon High School graduate and Veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Dan was a lifelong resident of Chardon and very involved in the community; a member of the Chardon Volunteer Fire Department, Chardon Council and Mayor of Chardon. He was Vice President of Geauga National Bank and later retired from Bank One in 1995. He had his Private Pilot License and had a natural talent for electronics and enjoyed working on little projects of all kinds for friends and family. He enjoyed his garden, pond, tractors, history, reading, and was known as a “go to guy for all things”.
Survivors include his wife, Sheri (nee: Warfield) of Chardon; daughter, Cara Muchmore of Sheffield Lake, OH; and cousin, Dennis Burdick of Chardon. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Chardon Municipal Cemetery, Park Avenue, Chardon, OH.
