CATHERINE H. HEIDEN

Age 85, of Concord Twp., (formerly a 61 year resident of Clark Rd. in Chardon Twp.) died on Sunday, July 29, 2018.  She was born in Painesville, OH, on June 10, 1933, to Otto and Margaret (Nee: Delventhol) Schaefer and was a graduate of Harvey High School.

She married Glenn Heiden on May 14, 1955, in Painesville, OH.

Cathy was Deputy Recorder for Geauga County prior to being elected as Recorder and serving from 1988 until 2000. She had also worked for City Loan and transported deaf children to school. Sewing, vegetable gardening, baking pies, attending all sporting events of her grandchildren as well as being a long-time member of the Zion Lutheran Church were just some of her enjoyments in life.

Survivors include her daughters, Anne Marie Brazis of Rome, OH, and Donna Lee (Carl) Schoenig of Leroy Twp., OH; sons, Raymond (Jennifer) Heiden of Concord Twp., OH and Michael (Maryann) Heiden of Sunbury, OH; grandchildren, Maggine (Matt) Fuentes, Brandon (Aubrey) Brazis, Amanda (Tyler) Warwick, Nicholas (Molly) Heiden, Matthew (Sidney) Heiden, and Emma Schoenig; great grandchildren, Tyler, Maitland and Maddox; sister, Edna Henry of Lago Vista, TX. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Glenn on June 28, 2009; sisters Eleanor Bauer and Ruth Seitz; brother Victor Schaefer.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Ave., Painesville, OH 44077, with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Church or to Our Shepherd Lutheran School, c/o the church.  Arrangements by the Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chardon, OH.  Information and condolences online at www.burrservice.com.
