I met John and Carol when they picked me up and we went to the Geauga Fair and we worked at the Democrat Tent. The last time I was with them was at the Fair when we had breakfast at The Grange. Always good times and good conversations. We spoke of many things, but did not get around to comparing paprikas recipes. Thank you, for the local recommendations.

Dear Dorka family, I am very saddened with the news of Carole's death. I have many wonderful and fun memories of both your mother and father. We dined many times together after Democratic meetings and other occasions just because we liked one another. I cherish the friendship we carved. Carole and John helped guide the Geauga County Democratic Party for decades. During Malcolm Mann's Chairpersonship an annual award was given in their name. The John & Carole Dorka service award. Carole was particularly proud of her daughter, Kathy and would espouse at length stories to me after visits to her farm. The passing of an Era has now come to our county. Thankfully it was our county of Geauga that reaped this benefit. With a mixture of joy for her/their friendship and sadness in our loss. Peace be with Carole always and her entire family. Sincerely, Mary Briggs ✌

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Your mom was such a wonderful woman. Both your mom and dad were such kind people. I have so many memories of hanging out in the kitchen while our parents had coffee, Kathy and I playing in the woods and great pig roasts! Our families have had a long fun ride together! I will always treasure the memories. Prayers and sympathy are with you, Montina (Forman) Gilson
