Age 80 of Chardon, died July 25, 2018 at the University Hospital Medical Center in Cleveland. Born in Cleveland on August 23, 1937 she was a resident of Euclid, Ohio, until moving to Chardon in June of 1999.  She was employed as a secretary for General Motors and the Euclid Schools. While in Euclid, she was very active at Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish.  In Chardon, she was a member of The Church of St. Mary, the YMCA Exercise Group, and as an avid reader, the Geauga County Library Book Club.  In her spare time, Carol loved creating scrapbooks using both digital and paper photos.

She is survived by her husband, David R. Browne, sons David M. (Tiffany) Browne of Hambden Twp., Ohio, John (Shannon) Browne of Mentor, Ohio, Mark (Yunwen) Browne of Singapore, daughters   Colleen (Jim) Temple of Mentor, Ohio, and Mary (Daniel) Kane of Olmsted Twp., Ohio, brothers Thomas (Patty) Gill of Indianapolis, Indiana, and James (Mary) Gill of Cincinnati, Ohio, sister Mary (Bernard) Hertel of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and grandchildren Adam, John, Emily, Caroline, Kaylee, Owen, Daphne, and Faye. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Edna (nee: Taylor) Gill.

Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon, Ohio.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp., Ohio.
