Jillian DePriest left a message on October 24, 2022:
There are no words that will take away the pain. There is nothing that can undo the loss of a loved one, or a child. We send our deepest most sincere condolences to you Anne, Mitch and Greg. I pray that Benny is smiling down on you forever from heaven. I hope he is at peace now and freely happy. My heart breaks for you and your family. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”- Psalm 34:18. God, we pray that you will draw near to these parents who are grieving the loss of their baby. Gone too soon but never forgotten. Sending you all our love Anne. You come down and stay with us anytime. May you forever Rest In Peace Ben. ❤️ Love Always, Jillian, Skylar and Sylas DePriest
Aunt Mary left a message on October 24, 2022:
Dear Ben, It was difficult to get to know you, especially at such a great distance and as you got older. However, I remember those quick, shy smiles; I now know that those were the windows to your soul. I often heard, via your uncle, that your Dad was awestruck, I guess, by your artistic skills. I wish I'd known that side of you, and we could have shared in our love of animals. Please know, Ben, that you and your family are in my heart. I wish it were possible to ease others' pain. I love you, Ben. Aunt Mary

Man. This hits hard. I met Ben one year at our friend Chase's 4th of July Party. He was a new friend that became like a brother to me. He always knew how to make his friends smile and laugh. From poker nights to bonfires and everything in between, there was always a place for him at any friend event. He knew how to stand out because he didn't need to fit in. He was a great guy and an even greater friend. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. He will forever be a brother to me. Love you 'Spoons'. Fly high buddy. Love you.
