BARTHOLOMEW “BART” CHRISTIAN ROMANO
Age 50, of Chardon, died March 30, 2021 at UH Geauga Medical Center. Born April 8, 1970 in Garfield Hts., he was a local resident of Newbury and Chardon for 20 years. Bart had been a computer analyst for Progressive Insurance for more than 20 years. He loved golfing, camping, fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling, until his health prohibited him from participating. Bart was an avid sports fan, a Cleveland fan overall, but especially the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Football.
Survivors include his children James and Jessica Romano, both of Newbury, former wife, Stacey (nee: Schlaudecker) Romano of Newbury, his mother Sheila (nee: Turek) Romano of South Euclid, his father, Michael (Connie) Romano of Chardon, siblings Matthew (Jenifer) Romano of Montville Twp., Christian Romano of Brecksville, Natalie (Anthony) Romano of Chesterland, Dominique (Jon) McBride of Orlando, FL., and his aunt, Diana Romano. Bart also leaves nieces and nephews, Angelina, Joseph, Vincent, Nicholas, Luke, Lorenzo, Cole, and Avery. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Marion Turek, and Albert and Frances Romano, and his sister-in-law, Mary (nee: O’Brien) Romano.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project, two charities that were meaningful to Bart. www.stjude.org www.woundedwarriorproject.org
