As I look through all these memory messages, I can see how loved and respected Aunt Lorraine was by both family and friends. This has taken awhile to write, but I hope you, Nan, Janet, and Joan, and your families will accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. It doesn't seem to matter how old we are or how old our mothers have become, their passing away creates a void that can't be refilled. I hope this Christmas season brings you some sense of comfort. I'll be thinking of you. Lois

Dear Janet, Stacie and Peter Our families have been a part of each others lives for more then 30 years. Starting with a weekend trip to your house when you were still in college Jan til her passing Your Mother always welcomed us. I have to say one of my best memories was last summer 2011, when we went to Florida with Audriana to visit all the Grandparents. We all took a day trip to the Sea Turtle rescue & hospital your Mom's knowledge of what to do and how to help the Turtles was just wonderful we had so much fun." We all know how i feel about Turtles." The best part was the next day when we were leaving the beach (there in the parking lot) was a little baby Sea Turtle. Because of what she and the people at the center told us we knew how to help that little guy and get him back to the Ocean and hopefully he made it. It's things like that you will always carry with you from your Mom and she will always be with you. All my Love

What can I say about a woman who was so special to every who crossed her path? As I think about her more and more millions of memories come to mind. Not only of her kind heart and service to others. But of the things she taught me and the sound of her voice. She was a classy lady who always hit the ground running with anything she did. She was an idol to me, and if I end up being half the woman she was my life will be a success. I'll never forget the countless summers we spent just my brother and I with her and grandpa. She always had a jam packed schedule for us ensuring that we had a great time while we were visiting. The world has lost a true icon, but her legacy will live on deep in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Although now my heart is broken, I know that a smile will always come to my face when I see a sea turtle, or peach ice cream or hear big band music, becasue that will mean that I know she is looking down on my proudly.

Lorraine and I were close friends for 18 years. We met through the American Red Cross where we both served as Presidents of the Red Cross Angels. Over the years, we shared a lot of happy and sad memories as we both dealt with the challenges life presented to us. When my second husband died of pancreatic cancer in 2001, Lorraine was the one friend who was there for me in every way. Because I am legally blind, she would make it a point to call me and make plans with me so I would not spend my weekends alone.I will never forget her kindness and compassion. When her husband became ill with Alzheimers I got to return the favor by joining her in many of her visits to him, having them both at my house to share Thanksgiving with my family.Thank you for your friendship, my friend. It is something that I will always treasure. Rest in peaceLoveAna

I met Lorraine in February 1976. She invited to stay in her home while I was looking for an apartment. From that time forward she treated me like a member of her family. She was intelligent, loving and lots of fun! She scolded me when I was wrong, supported me when I needed it, and was the best friend I could ever have had. I am blessed to have known her and her passing leaves a great void. My sympathy is with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Margaret

I spent many weekends at the Riverton home. Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Chuck would always be introducing me to sons of friends they knew. They always wanted to make sure I had a good time and I did. Cousin Dianne and I met at Aunt Lorraine's house in Jupiter to share in old and new memories. she was very proud of where she lived so she had to take us on a big tour of the property. she was known by everyone and she spent many hours donating her time to helping others. there are so many memories which will stay with me always. The brothers and sisters will once again be united. I will see you again. Love Jackie

Can;'t believe my friend is gone. She was such a "dynamo". How will we ever replace her.Lorraine and I go back to my volunteering at the Red Cross Office in NPB.She was president of the "RED CROSS ANGELS" of which she was a founding member. She and I used to run Sunday Bingo at The Waterford for years and still did up until maybe a month ago when she was just too tired to do it. I remember she still wanted to go over to the Health Center and see if things were arranged etc. I gave her a hug and said, go home Lorriane and take care of yourself. She had me ironing the pillow case dresses. Found me that job since I don't sew!And don't forget Mah-Jongg. She was a great player and taught many of us hereat The Waterford. If there's any volunteering up in Heaven, you can be sure Lorraine will be running it!

She was there when I was born, she helped take care of me as a child, she was there when my parents died, she was there for me every day. She treated me like I was one of her own, and words can not express the loss I feel. I will always love you Aunt Lorraine, and will miss you every day....

I always admired your Mom because during her working years at Ford she was one of the first women to have a management position. She worked her way up from a secretary. She was intelligent and let's not forget the Gran Torrino. You guys are in my prayers. See you soon.
