BARBARA ANNE STUART (nee: BLAKE)

Age 73 of Chardon, died January 4, 2021 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.  Born July 6, 1947 to Frank and Eleanor (nee: Gibson) Blake in Cleveland, where she was raised and graduated from Shaw High School.  On June 3, 1967, Barbara married Albert J. Stuart at Christ the King Church in East Cleveland.

For over 30 years, Barbara was a dedicated parishioner of Divine Word Catholic Church in Kirtland. During those 30 years, she was a member and past president of Our Lady’s Guild and Madonna Award Recipient, served as a Eucharistic Minister and member of RCIA. Her love of children showed through her teaching the Good Shephard Program at Peaceful Children’s Montessori School and chidren’s PSR.  In her spare time, she was an active member of Silver Sneakers and went to the Chardon YMCA daily.  Barbara enjoyed Tai Chi, hook rugging and reading, but her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends. Those times will always be cherished by all.

She is survived by her husband, Al; children, Sharon (Joe) Malone of Chardon, Susan Hollobaugh, of Chardon, and Penny (Andrew) Ragon of Green, OH; grandchildren, Shawna (Rick) Myers, Beth Giel, Ashlea Malone, Morgan Malone, Nick Malone, Aidan Ragon,

Finnian Ragon, Joshua Hollobaugh; great grandchildren, Alex Myers, Anthony Myers, Anderson Zingale; and brothers, Frank (Joan) Blake of Virginia and Arthur (Gloria) Blake of Massillon, OH.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Blake.
