Barbara A. Malise, age 83, of Chardon Township, passed away April 16, 2021 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. Born August 2, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Mary (nee: Bottesch) Metz. She was a longtime area resident. Barbara was married to Martin “Marty” Malise Sr. for 61 years, he preceded her in death in 2016.

Barbara was an excellent cook.  She loved shopping, jewelry, baking, ceramics, painting and making afghans. She enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music and loved having gatherings with friends and family. Most of all she loved watching her children play sports and being involved in their lives.

She is survived by her children, Daniel of Olmsted Falls, Andrew of Mentor, Karen Pike of Chardon, Jim (Donna) of Painesville and Suzie (Jack) Cosgriff of Mentor; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, son, Martin “Marty” Malise, Jr and brother, Robert (Virginia) Metz.

Private Family Services were held.
