Anne F. McGarry

Anne F. (nee: Tompkins) McGarry age 60 of Chardon Twp. died Sept. 18, 2013 at UH Geauga Medical Center. Born Jan 8, 1953 in Tampa, FL to Francis W. and Connie (nee: Breeden) Tompkins, she had been a longtime Chardon Twp. resident. Anne, along with her husband Thom, whom she married Oct. 11, 1975, ran McGarry Design, a design and illustration studio. Anne is survived by her husband Thomas of Chardon Twp.; brother Michael (Sandy) Tompkins of Lutz, FL; in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. MEMORIAL GATHERING: 10am-12pm on Saturday Sept. 21, 2013 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. Private family burial will be held.

Thom, I lost my husband of 44 years, 6 years ago. I know the pain of the separation and the void it leaves in our hearts. I have remarried but still live with the many positive memories of my first love; life went on and I was able to lift myself up with the help of a God who was with me every step of the way. My mom, your Aunt Nedra, died in Dec. of 2011, the last of the McGarry siblings. That void in my life, though most painful, is filled with the love I had for her. My love goes out to you, dear cousin I barely know but am bound with a blood line. Please go forward in life and contribute some of yourself to improve others around you. Blessings, Cousin Toni
