Anna K. (nee: Ulichnie) Deptola, age 90, a 55-year resident of Euclid, OH, died at Hospice House in Cleveland, on October 12, 2021. She was born January 10, 1931, to Jacob and Anna (Shimmel) Ulichnie in Lucerne Mines, PA. She married Raymond R. Deptola on September 19, 1959. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2002.

Anna was a selfless homemaker for her husband and family for half of her life.  She also worked outside the home at a Cleveland bakery and as an injection press operator for Precision Metalsmiths in Cleveland until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of St. Christine Catholic Church in Euclid for many years where her children attended school.  Most recently she was a member of St. Noel Catholic Church in Willoughby Hills. 

Her hobbies included reading, floral and vegetable gardening, working on puzzles, ceramics, and baking.  She will be remembered for her Christmastime homemade pierogies, pizzelles, and her grandchildren’s favorite Rice Krispie treats.  She enjoyed “going for rides in the country” with her husband, visiting with relatives, caring for animals and feeding the birds in the wintertime.  She was always there to love, care and support her children and grandchildren.  They were her pride and joy. 

Anna is survived by her daughter, Elaine Taranowski of Euclid, OH; sons, Raymond (Sonja Paetzel) of Burton, OH and Chaz (Joyce) of Aurora, OH; 5 grandchildren; Samuel, Stephen, Matthew, Lauren and Jack; sister Susan Reibel of Cambridge Springs, PA and a brother, Peter Ulichnie of Penn Run, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Elizabeth Walters and Marie Shank, brothers, John and Jacob Ulichnie, and son-in-law David Taranowski. 

Private family services were held with interment in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, OH. Donations in her name may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185^th St., Cleveland, OH  44119, or the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
