Anna Cripps

March 21, 1926 - July 12, 2012

Anna (nee: Arendash) Cripps, 86 returned to Our Lord on July 12, 2012. “The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.”Beloved wife of the late Ralph E. Cripps, mother to Ralph T, Janet (Massick), Deborah Chapman, Peter , Father Deacon Robert E J Cripps, Dr. Jeanette Spreng-Cripps, Rebecca Wiseman, Richard. Adoring grandmother to Connor, Amber, Joseph, Anna and Alexandra. Great grandmother to Artemis, Moira, Apollo, Athena, and Alanna. Sister to John (deceased), Mary Speidel (deceased), Joseph, Steven (deceased) and Paul. Graduate of Pittston Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She was employed at Medina General Hospital for 33 years in nurse management. She was EMS coordinator for Medina County. Ann was most proud of the fact with her encouragement many EMT’s and nursing assistants moved on into a career as registered nurses. Ann believed in giving back to her community and was an active volunteer in the following; the Brunswick Hills Fire Dept, American Red Cross of Medina County, Medina County Emergency Management Education Board, Legion of Mary, Rose Society, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Camp Paradise, Red Bird Mission, Medina Senior Center, as well as many nursing organizations. Memorial mass will be held at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Newbury on August 18, 2012 at10am. A celebration of her life will follow at her former home, 14733 Aspen Hills Ln, Burton. Ann will be interred with her husband at the National Veterans Cemetery in Rittman, OH.Online condolences at www.burrservice.com

Ann was my beautiful, strong and loving aunt. She was so kind to me, as she was to so many others. Brisk and energetic, sharply intelligent and brooker of no nonsense, she left an indelible mark on my life. Heaven is richer for her presence.

Ann donated many hours of time and her expertise to help the Medina County Red Cross Disaster Services. We are very grateful for all she did for the Red Cross.

I met Ann when I was just starting into my career as a RRT RCP at MedinaGeneral Hospital. At first I was afraid of her but as I got to know her Irealized she demanded things be done correct. She was an excellent nurse,always giving it her all, always thinking of the patient first. We had manygood conversations over the years and I feel she helped me to become thebest I could. At her retirement party she gave a very touching speech @ theyears she worked at the hospital, all the hats she wore and the people thatbecame like family. God Bless you Ann you touched a lot of lives. AlthoughI haven't seen Ann in many years, some people you always remember. Annwas part of Medina Hospital and made a difference in many lives.
