ANDREA J. SCHULZ (nee: ANELLI)
Age 60, of Chardon Township, passed away on January 1, 2022, at her home, after a courageous journey with cancer. Andrea was born June 21, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio to Armand and Virginia (nee: Telich) Anelli. She graduated from Villa Angela in 1979 and Hiram College in 1983. Andrea became a professional opera singer, performing with The Cleveland Opera and in 2006 started a new opera company named Opera Per Tutti (opera for all) which later became Cleveland Opera Theater. She also created ContemOpera Cleveland.
Her greatest loves were music, gardening, cooking and most of all her family. Andrea lived her life with intention, purpose and class and her greatest gift to us all was that she made everything around her beautiful. Her kindness and love will be truly missed.
She was the dearest wife and best friend for more than 38 years to Jeff, very proud mother to Jonathan (Lindsey Barker) and Jonah. Three beautiful grandchildren, Molly, Brady and Hudson, lovingly known to them as Mimi. Sister of Robert (Tina Milavec) Anelli and Deborah (Doug) Ivari, and 13 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Armand and Virginia.
In lieu of flowers Andrea has two requests. First, show kindness to a random stranger today and second, please give a generous donation to The Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110. https://www.hospicewr.org/. We would like to thank them for their love and compassion in this journey.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
