There are as many ways as there are wishes. Whether you prefer traditional burial or cremation, our funeral home offers a variety of funeral services.

Built in 1824, Burr Funeral Home is the oldest known structure in Chardon. A beautiful two-story funeral home featuring a large front porch, the facility captures the character of the region during the Victorian era. Our funeral home is decorated in warm, comforting colors, reminiscent of Ohio’s spectacular fall season. We offer a spacious gathering room, private parlor, wood burning fireplace and large children’s room to help put families at ease. The entire building is wheelchair accessible and offers a large parking area as well as on-street parking. We offer on-site hospitality services including: Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie service (Included in all funeral home services), coffee and Tea Forte tea service (Included in all funeral home services), light appetizer service, soda and juice service, additional pastry service and certain additional services are available upon request.

We proudly serve all cultures and faiths and are committed to personalizing funeral services to meet every family’s wishes. We have clergy on staff to assist any family that may not have a church home. Our large selection room features many different caskets, urns, and outer burial containers.

We are here to help before, during, and after the funeral. If the death occurs away from home, we can help. We can coordinate cemetery arrangements for you and assist with transportation. We also provide groups and aftercare programs to help you and your family through the grieving process.
