Uncle Bill has always been special to my daughters. He shared his soap box derby stories with my daughter Hannah and even helped work on her soap box derby car. He was always an interesting person to talk too, always a sparkle in his eye. He seem to enjoy life and lived it as he wanted. His son Chris , was making, providing care to him and helping him to have a peaceful death at home. He was Fortunate to have wonderful children.

I was a classmate of Bill's at Cathedral Latin. He was Mr. Everything - Class President, Captain of the football team and just an all around good person. I would connect with him at all class reunions and there were many. In the last 4-5 years, w became closer. I was teaching at a Med School - West Virginia University. He visited me and my wife in WV at least twice. They were delightful visits. Sadly after we moved to a retirement community a little over a year ago, in surburban Pittsburgh, closer to a daughter, I lost contact with him. Our class was close. His wife died about 20 years ago. He wrote a poem and sent it to all classmates classmates. I will miss him sorely and in particular his spontaneous visits. Dick Iammarino
