William Craft Ronyak

January 9, 1937 - July 30, 2012

William Craft Ronyak, 75, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., passed away July 30, 2012, at Heather Hill Hospital in Munson Township. Born Jan. 9, 1937, in Chardon, he had been a lifetime resident of Burton Village before retiring to Florida in 1995. He worked for Ronyak Bros. Paving. His father founded the AJ Ronyak Asphalt Paving in Burton in 1939. William, his twin brother James, and older brother, Dennis, continued the business until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the Burton Congregational Church, a former member of Village Lodge 274, F&AM in Burton and the Al Koran Shrine in Cleveland. Mr. Ronyak enjoyed bowling, golfing, his family and friends. Bill loved telling jokes, being a twin, and living life to the fullest. He was passionate about his work, his employees and running the asphalt plants. Survivors are his five children, Todd (Michelle) Ronyak, Kristi Ronyak, Kimberly (Michael) LaMura, Amy Ronyak, and Joe Ronyak; four grandchildren; brother, James (Sharon) Ronyak; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, AJ and Effie (Craft) Ronyak; brother, Dennis Ronyak; and nephew, Jay B. Ronyak. A casual celebration of life with the Ronyak family, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Grandview Golf Club, 13404 Old State Road, Middlefield. Burial will be in Slitor Cemetery in Burton Township. Contributions are requested to the Cleveland Clinic Heart Institute, P.O. Box 931517, Cleveland, OH 44193. IN THE EARLY 70'S WHEN I STARTED AT ODOT IN BURTON, ALL THE GUYS WERE GOING TO THE FEAST THE RONYAKS WERE HOLDING AT THE BURTON FIRE DEPARTMENT. I FELT BAD ENOUGH OVER THE FACT I WAS THE ONKY FEMALE WITH 65 GUYS IN GEAUGA ODOT. NOW THE INVENTATIONS ONLY EXTENDED TO THE GUY........WELL..KNOWING ME, I ALSO ATTENDED.......BILL CAME OUT OF THE SIDE DOOR AND FELT SORRY FOR ME BECAUSE I WAS NOT ALLOWED IN THE MAIN ROOM, AND BROUGHT ME A PLATE AND A DRINK....HE AND I REMAINED FRIENDS .. ODOT BOUGHT THE PAVING WORK FROM THE RONYAKS, AND WHAT A GREAT BUNCH OF GUYS THEY WERE..

To Bill's family: We are so deeply sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Our sincere sympathy goes out to his family. To Jim: We know you will miss him very much, but think of all the blessings you had being twin brothers. The memories from the Middlefield Bowling Alley will remain in our hearts forever. Jim and Sharon and family,So sorry to learn of Bill's passing. I am sure he and my brother Woody and my late husband, Paul, are sharing a lot right now. I remember a lot ofthe "pranks" he and Paul played with the help of a few nephews, etc. Bill was a lot of fun and he always had a big smile.- I will miss seeing him at the fair this year but hope I get to seeyou two.
