William C. Eglet III age 66 of Munson Twp. died April 12, 2012 at his residence. Born May 30, 1945 in Cleveland to William C. and Mary (nee: Miller) Eglet II he was a long time area resident. Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved anything that involved the outdoors. He enjoyed mentoring and teaching neighbors to hunt. Bill was a graduate of The Ohio State University prior to serving in the military. He was a member of Whitetails Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited and VFW Post 6519 in Chardon. His greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family. He worked as a boiler operator and retired in 2007 from Lubrizol in Wickliffe. Bill is survived by his wife Gail (nee: Rusnak) whom he married on Nov. 14, 1975 in Cleveland; sons William C. Eglet IV of Lyndhurst and James M. Eglet of Munson Twp.; daughter Carolyn (Matthew) Goettke of Dayton; grandchildren Joseph and Madeline Goettke of Dayton; brothers: John (Linda) Eglet of Brunswick and Jack Eglet of Hudson; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Tuesday April 17, 2012 at the Burr Funeral Home 116 South Street (500′ South of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon.
