Mrs. Loebs had worked for the Illuminating Company in Cleveland for 12 years before purchasing land in Claridon Twp to open a custard stand. In 1952, she and her husband broke ground for Jacques High Chapparel Mobile Home Park, which they enjoyed running for 33 years before retiring in 1985. In March of 1937 Violet M. Carlson met the love of her life, Jacques Loebs. They went on 2 dates and he asked her to marry him. On February 19, 1938, they married. They spent 62 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on November 17, 2000. Violet enjoyed music, history and animals. She was a supporter of the Geauga County Historical Society, Hiram College, Geauga County Humane Society and was very active in her community. She was also a member of the Church of St. Mary in Chardon. She is survived by her nieces Susan Carlson and Laura Foster and nephew Steven Carlson, all in California. Her jusband Jacques and parents Oscar Frederick and Aino (nee Johannason) Carlson are deceased.Donations are suggested to The Geauga County Historical Society, P.O. Box 153, Burton, OH 44021
