Thomas B. Cole Jr., PhD, age 72 of Claridon Twp. passed away June 28, 2015 at Blossom Hill Care Center. Born June 25, 1943 in Cleveland to Thomas B. and Roberta (nee: Worthington) Cole Sr, he had been a longtime area resident. Tom retired from Kent State Geauga where he taught nursing anatomy. He enjoyed metal working and was a member of the Western Reserve Artist Blacksmith Association. He greatly enjoyed teaching, but his greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Polly (nee: Zepp) Cole of Claridon Twp; sons Tom (Joyce) of Claridon Twp, Dan (Jeannette) of Reynoldsburg, OH and Sam (Lynn) of Claridon Twp; 9 grandchildren; brother Richard (Mary Jane) of Willoughby and many extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Ronan Cole. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
