Susanne S. Kronk, Age 84, of Claridon Twp., died at her home on Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born in Buffalo, NY, on November 6, 1933, to Truman and Caroline (Nee:Brink) Stone, and married Carl R. Kronk in Hamburg, NY on August 20, 1955. Susanne was a graduate of Ohio University, Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Lake Erie College. She had been an Elementary Teacher for the Chardon Board of Education, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the St. Luke Episcopal Church in Chardon, and was active in the Herb Society of America, DAR Childs-Taylor Chapter, PEO DU Chapter in Chardon, and the Geauga County Historical Society.
Survivors include son, Robert C. Kronk of Claridon Twp.; grandchildren, Lindsay and Camille Kronk, Miranda and Matthew Carver; brother Truman L. Stone Jr. of Eden, NY; her “lab” Morgan and Siamese cat, Dickens. Her husband preceded her in death on July 28, 2012, and her daughter, Melinda S. (Patrick) Carver on Oct. 3, 2015.
A Funeral Service will be held at the St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Rd, Chardon, OH, on Saturday, November 18, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Claridon Center Cemetery.
