Susan J. ELLMAN (nee: Metzger) age 70 of Chardon died May 3, 2012 at Heather Hill Care Center in Munson. Born March 4, 1942 in Silver Creek, NY to Robert and Mary (nee: Young) Metzger she has been a long time Chardon area resident. Mrs. Ellman retired from the Chardon Local Schools in 2005 where she had taught 4th and 2nd grades at Park Elementary School in Chardon. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Susan is survived by her sons Erik (Renee) Ellman of Solon and Kevin (Kim) Ellman of Chardon, grandchildren Michael and Erika of Chardon and Mackenzie, Taylor, Jordan and Blake of Solon; brothers David (Diane) Metzger and William (Donna) Metzger both of Silver Creek, NY; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ronald Ellman. OH VISITATION: Sunday May 6, 2012 from 1-3pm at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. Mrs. Ellman was one of my favorite teachers (fourth grade at Park 1980). She had the patience of a saint. Not sure how she put up with all of us - but she always had a smile and a hug. I'm very sorry for your loss.

So sad to learn of her passing. My condolences to her family. Susan and I were winners of a late 50's "June is Dairy Month" contest by Seegerts dairy in S.C. Prizes were Columbia bicycles. Memories....... May she rest in Peace. It was good to have met her. Ted Gestwicki, Billerica. Ma.

Susie and I were friends it seems like forever: A visual of us in Florida against a Palm Tree; slumber parties between houses; kindergarten through high school pictures; David and Billy; Mary (Susie's mom) and Sarah (my mom) sharing the Dolce last name; reunions when we all could make it. Rest in peace!

How sad it is to lose such a delightful friend. Susie was a treasured friend from Kindergarten through High School. She was always smiling and always ready for fun. Reconnecting at the 2000 High School class reunion and again and a girlfriend reunion in 2002 allowed our friendship to deepen. I will miss her.

My brother, Fred George, sent me the notice of Susie's passing. So sorry. It's been many years since I last saw Susie .I recall that several years ago she came to Az. Think it was on business. Remember her, especially as a child, as having such a bubbly personality. And I might add, she was such a cutie!! Please accept my sympathy to all the family. Thinking of you with love. Joanie
