Sharon A. Marthe age 70 of Thompson passed away Jan. 7, 2017 at Geauga Hospital. Born Dec. 12, 1946 in Chardon to Raymond and Enid (nee: Williams) Horton, she had been a lifelong Chardon area resident before moving to Margate, FL 17 years ago. Sharon retired from Office Depot Corporate Offices as a Payroll Specialist. She loved the Cleveland Indians and watched them while living in Florida. Survivors include her daughters Sharyl (Stan) Wagner of Thompson and Kelly Hillier of Eastlake; grandchildren Logan Brennan of Thompson, Kallie Schneider of Eastlake, Zach Hillier of Concord and Dylan Hillier of Eastlake; brothers Les Horton on Concord, Lee (LuAnn) Horton of Canton, MS and Rick (Kathy Hambleton) Horton of Hambden Twp.; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Tom Horton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH. A memorial service will be held at 8pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
