SARA L. FERRARO (nee: SCARDEFIELD)

Age 69 of Chardon Twp., died September 19, 2017 at UH Geauga Medical Center. Born September 8, 1948 in Beacon, NY to Henry and Louise (nee: Straughn) Scardefield, she lived most of her life in California, and has lived in Chardon Twp. for the last 4 years. Throughout her career, she was in billing at several medical centers in Las Vegas and Texas. Sara enjoyed cross stitch, reading and connecting with friends on Facebook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her son and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Aaron Ferraro and his children Brittany and Ethan. She also leaves her sisters Anita Tomaszewski of NC and MaryJane Rodrigues of NY and in-laws, Joseph, Sr. and Lucille Ferraro. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 36 years, Joseph Ferraro, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
