Hello, Been here to visit alot. Im sure by now you've met my brother. I miss him so much. I guess even many many years does'nt heal that pain. I think about your family everyday, Your Mom and Dad have a perminant place is my heart Always. Your Sisters heart is the heart of a precious person that lost her baby brother... thats the heart I was given to endure the rest of my life also..... Okay... enough about the sad stuff. From what we all know now, Heaven just got a bit louder with all the 6 and 7 year olds running around. Hope you and my brother are enjoying them.

I got a chill today that made me shiver. I realized the chill outside was pushing a chill inside me with the memory of that ugly day you were taken away. But I pushed it away with memories of a sweet child. One of my favorites... you were 12 and your mom and dad brought you over to our house. Im thinking to myself... poor kid stuck all day with 4 boring adults. We put a fishing pole in your hand and we all went back to the lake. Oh my gosh!!! I didnt think a 12 year old could share that many smiles in a single day. No other kids to play with... Just us boring big people. I was so glad to be wrong. Running around that lake to show us each and every fish you caught!!! Oh and... I dont let myself think of that day as you being "taken away'' anymore...I try to think of it as you were "taken home". But I still feel angry... dont know if that will ever go away........

I dont know what to say.... I just know I come here to visit alot to spend some time thinking about the whole family.... that just doesnt seem whole anymore. I know as the people here on Earth we are impatient and want things to make sence... and one day it all will. Im sure you look at all of us with that big smile of yours.... because you "know" all the things that we are not allowed to know until we come home. You know there are tears here... but not where you are. You know the time in this world is so short, and the end of this chapter....will start a new chapter.... The chapter that never ends, The chapter that keeps us all together, filled with love, Forever and Ever.

Russell I miss you so much I wish you were here right now. I can't believe your gone. I have known you since elementary school. I remeber when we had first period together and you would go to get breakfeast and wouldn't come back for like 20 minutes. The teacher would be like where have you been. You said I was just walking around. Or like the times we would talk about trucks and tracktors. Miss those days and will never forget them. I miss you..

Fathers Day has come and gone. Thought alot about Russ and his Dad... The whole family. All 4 of you. See the picture on this page, the big smile, and you make me smile inside. Then go and look at the picture his sister posted. Still have the tears. But thats just our human shell. Then remember we will all get to enjoy the hugs and smiles again. The tears go away.... just have to remember for now.... enjoy you again someday.

Mothers Day is almost over. Spent alot of the day thinking about Jeannie. I loved the pic Crystal put on face book of her mom and dad. Always thinking about the family. I Love You All. Russ...keep smiling on us all, because we cant feel it.

Thinking about You all the time Russ. Thinking about Jeannie, Rusty and Crystal. Wondering when the tears wil stop. Yet knowing these tears are just human, and knowing there are no tears in Heaven. I have to shift my thoughts to the day Heather and I were in line with you and your mom at Wal-Mart. Your bright smile, and in a hurry to get outta there. The Red Ribbons around town are looking a little tattered and fadded... so I got some new ones to replace some of the old ones. Heather and I are going out next week to do this because... Word cannot express the deep sympathy I feel for you and your family. Although I do not know you or any of the families, I feel an odd connection. Maybe it's because I have a son the same age...maybe because I'm a parent and can empathize the pain of another parent's loss. I have shed a river of tears & have said a book full of prayers since that horrible day. I even came to Chardon, stood, cried and prayed, a silent stranger. February 27th was my mother's birthday. Now and forever more that date will serve as a fatefull reminder to me of what tragedy occurred. Russell, Danny & Dimetruis will now always & forever be in my heart. You were someone I looked up to and you knew how to make people laugh even when they are having a bad day. i remember seeing you right before it happened and i wish i would of known what was coming so i could get you, Danny and D out of there. I come to this page every night to spend a little time with Russell. Going through the pictures, reading the moments everyone is sharing. My first few visits here the emotions and tears were always to the point where I couldnt leave a memory. I would just visit everyones thoughts and prayers, then go to bed. Tonight I would like to extend a strong hug to Rusty Jeannie and Crystal. I just had to remember that Russell is in a place we cant even imagine the peace and love of. My deepest sympathys to the King Family my heart aches for you. I have two son's Brian and Mark who both knew Russell and spent fun times with him fishing and hanging out. I met Russell one time last summer. Russell came home with my son Mark and Russell spent the night at our house. All I can picture is him standing in our doorway when my son Mark introduced him to me "Hi Mom, this is my friend Russell". Russell's face light up with a charming smile and said "Hi Mrs Radebaugh, it is nice to meet you." He spent the night and in the morning when he departed he was sure to thank me for allowing him to spend the night. What a fine, polite, young man you raised. I will never forget him, he was one of those kids that just made such a wonderful impression. Please know the boys have nothing but great things to say and wonderful memories of Russell. Russell will live on in the lives he saved by his generous organ donations. You have brought life out of this tragedy -- you are an inspiration to us all. There were eight words in Russ' obituary that made me catch my breath, "including a small child" and "his heart still beats". We too, have a 17 year old son and i cannot even begin to comprehend your pain and loss -- my mind will only go so far and then it shuts off, not allowing that pain into my heart. May it bring some small comfort to you knowing that, while Russ has helped so many others live, his essence remains in your heart forever. To speak in biblical terms, Russ finished his race very early in his lifetime but that also means that he received his reward very early also. For many months they werevery busy, scurrying over the soft mud on the bottom of the pond. They did notice that every once in awhile one of their colony seemed to lose interest in goingabout. Clinging to the stem of a pond lily it gradually moved out of sight and was seen no more."Look!" said one of the water bugs to another. "One of our colony is climbing up the lily stalk. To the family of Russell King, I cannot imagine what you have gone through. You had to make a decision for Russell about donating his organs. You must have concluded that was what he would have wanted, to save so many lives, including a child - hopefully knowing that you have spared another mother your pain is helping to comfort you. I am part of a donor family too. Knowing the recipients live on does help over time. Especially since Russell was able to save the life of a small child. That must make him very happy. Know that everyone is thinking of you all at this difficult time, and going forward.

I have many fond memories of Russell living just up the street from him and he and my son Michael growing up together. He spent many evenings in my backyard with the neighborhood kids having bonfires. He was ALWAYS so respectful and curtious. Dear King Family,There is nothing that I can say to remove the wrenching pain of Russell's senseless passing. He is described as one who enjoyed nature, animals and life in general. It is not surprising then, that has chosen the gift of life by donating his organs. His passing has united a world of people who are suffering his loss by embracing you. Having had a near-death experience, I'd like to share that he must have had one too - better than mine. He found himself in a place where the weight of the world was lifted, felt no pain, gloried in a most exquisite and all-encompasing sense of peace, love and the freeing absence of the contraints of time and place. Russell went all around my house sticking magnets to things to see if they were metal. Emory and Russell were so much alike and the best of friends. I am closer to you now, then I ever was before.There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills climb, but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too.... that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.If you can help someone who is in sorrow and pain,then you can say to God at night......."My day was not in vain." And now I am contented.....that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passes along the way, I made somebody smile.So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,just lend a hand and pick him up, as on your way to go. When you are walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.And when it's time for you to go.....from that body to be free, remember you're not going......you're coming here with me.

I do not know your son, but I am deeply saddened by your loss. Your family will be in our prayers for long after today. We will never forget. I hope your wonderful memories of your son get you through this tragedy.

there are no words to express our deepest sorrow over the loss of rusty. We all have been praying mightily for your family, that God can somehow give you peace . Im not sure if this will offer comfort but it sure touched my heart to see how many handfuls of kids who are now coming to christ at crave since this happend. I know it doesnt lighten the blow, or take away your grief, but these kids and parents are on thier knees like never before... we will continue to pray for you, and keep rusty as a treasured memory in our hearts....
