Aunt Barbara, Alan, Susan, and Family,We were so sad to hear of Uncle Roy's passing but are so thankful for the wonderful memories. Our world was a better place because of him. My mother always said her brother was a "Card" because he always made us laugh! Besides his great wit, he cared deeply about family. The last conversation we had was on his birthday. He was especially happy to hear his sister's voice and likewise for my mom. I told my mother late yesterday (Saturday) morning of her brother's passing. We spent several hours looking over old pictures and recalling great memories. He will be greatly missed. With much love and sympathy,Jo Ann Gray and Sylvia Winters

Barbara,We are so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We remember and still talk about our times together. When you and Roy would take Otis and Andy for the mornings, and how they loved their time with you. They loved their walks and playtime with you and Roy.We look at the pictures of the birthday parties and at holidays and will forever hold those memories dear to our heart. Susan and Alan: I have so many great memories of your Dad. I still can hear him tell me about eating all that burnt toast that gave me my freckles when I was a little girl and he actually had me believe him! You two had the best Dad! He was great in every way!I told my mother last night and she was so sad..She said, you could not ask for a better neighbor!I am sending prayers to you, your Mom and all his family.

While we have been far away, Uncle Roy has always been Mom's brother with a sense of humor. Roy has been loved from afar. Mom does not yet know of her brother's passing and Jo Ann will spend time with her in the morning so she can have time to tell stories about her brother. Susan and Alan, our thoughts are with you and pray that you will have time to reflect back on all the fun times. When I was very young I remember showing your mom a crawfish and seeing how afraid she was. Your dad just smiled and laughed as your mom. We thought he was sooo cool.Your cousins from Cajun countryPatricia, Jo Ann, Robert, and Joey

Dear Barbara. Alan and Susan I LOVED HIM ALSO. WHEN GOD CALLS OUR LOVED ONES HOME, HE LEAVES US A GIFT OF MEMORIES IN EXCHANGE. BEING TEN YEARS YOUNGER THAN ROY, MY HAPPY MEMORIES GO WAY BACK TO PLEASANT STREET WHEN HE WAS SERVING IN THE U.S. NAVY. I WAS PROBABLY EIGHT YEARS OLD AND REALLY PROUD OF HIM. ONE TIME WHEN HE CAME HOME ON LEAVE, HE BROUGHT FLORENCE, ALICE AND ME A WHOLE BOX (TEN PACKS) OF WRIGLEY'S CHEWING GUM. BOY, WERE WE HAPPY! WISH I WOULD HAVE LIVED CLOSER DURING THESE LAST 60 ODD YEARS; BUT I ALWAYS ENJOYED MY VISITS TO MASS AND APPRECIATED YOUR HOSPITALITY.LOVE TO ALL. JANE

Susan,I was sorry to hear of your father's passing. I can only imagine how hard this must be for you at this time, but just remember to hold onto God's unchanging hands. We will all miss our "Uncle Roy". He was always a ray of sunshine to each and every one of us and made us laugh. He was one of a kind and will be a huge loss to all that knew him. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Aunt Barbara, Alan and Susan and their respective families.

I knew Roy was a special man the first time I met him at The Residence of Chardon. Afterall, he was a fellow Red Sox fan! Both my son, Tyler, and I enjoyed keeping up with the Red Sox news with Roy. Roy had a great sense of humor and a strong love of family. He will be greatly missed, but I know he's with the Lord, smiling, and pain free. Warmest Regards to the Unangst family, may the Lord give you strength now and in the days to come.

Roy was a very special man. An incredibly important person in Susan and Heather's lives as we have witnessed personally and of course Barbaras and the rest of his familys lives. He was such a positive person and so much fun to be around. We didn't get to spend as much time with him as other people did, but the time that we did spend was wonderful. We are sure his light is shining incredibly bright on his next journey. We will all really miss him.
