Age 83 of Chardon Twp., died September 15, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 20, 1934, to Elmer and Ernestine (nee: Kraus) Redding in Cleveland, he has been a lifelong area resident. Mr. Redding proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a member of Celebration Lutheran Church in Chardon, singing in the Church Choir. Mr. Redding was a talented artist, having minored in art in College. He and his family enjoyed skiing, traveling around the country. He retired from the Department of Labor after many years of service. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sandra (nee: Weber) Redding, children Tod Redding of Mentor, Kevin (Diane) Redding of Newbury and Wendy (Tom) Culp of Mentor; grandchildren Mitchell, Emma and Noah Culp, brother Wayne (Lynn) Redding of Chagrin Falls. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale Redding and daughter in law Shelley Redding.
The FUNERAL SERVICE will be at 11:00 Tuesday, September 19, at Celebration Lutheran Church 10621 Auburn Road, (Just north of Rt. 6) Chardon Twp. Burial will follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland. The family suggests donations be made to the City Mission, 5310 Carnegie Ave, Cleveland, OH 44103.
